Mine Risk: December 2024 Results in Facts and Figures
The risk from mines remains a serious threat to human life and health. After shelling, explosive devices can remain in yards, on roadsides, in parks, or even near homes. The Ukrainian Red Cross mine risk specialists aim to teach citizens how to act appropriately when they encounter suspicious objects. Every word from a specialist represents a chance to prevent tragedy and save lives.
Currently, 19 regions of Ukraine are actively engaged in educating citizens about the risks of explosive hazards and the rules of safe behaviour. 122 mine risk specialists from the Ukrainian Red Cross are working tirelessly to ensure that every Ukrainian knows how to avoid danger.
In December, 686 information sessions were held, reaching 17,606 citizens with essential knowledge that could save their lives and protect their health.
