In Mykolaiv, a roundtable discussion, “Dialogue with Employers”, was organised by the Ukrainian Red Cross
The meeting was held as part of the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme, implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the Spanish Red Cross and the Danish Red Cross. The main goal was to discuss current employment issues and identify the knowledge and skills that potential candidates should possess.
The participants discussed the role of employers in providing jobs for the population, as well as the importance of complying with labour and employment legislation through the combined efforts of all interested parties. The programme coordinator also presented a list of professions for which participants can receive training or retraining.
The Ukrainian Red Cross is implementing activities in five regions aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals in preparing for employment. This initiative provides an opportunity to learn a new profession or retrain to become a sought-after candidate. A separate focus is the provision of micro-grant support for restoring or starting a business.
