On 5 December, Ukraine celebrates International Volunteer Day

The Ukrainian Red Cross expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers in Ukraine who are helping people in need today.

In the challenging reality of war, this support is especially crucial for the future of our country. Without volunteers, none of the aid efforts would be possible. Every day, we witness real heroes — those who sacrifice sleep, take risks, donate, rescue, help, evacuate, unload, deliver, and transport — dedicating their time to support others. Many volunteers also risk their lives daily to help others.
