Mine Risk Education: Support from International Partners

Recently, representatives from the Italian Red Cross and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) visited the Kyiv region. Svitlana Avramenko, Head of the Humanitarian Access and Protection Department, participated in the trip as part of the delegation and emphasised the importance of mine risk education in Ukraine.

With the financial support of our partners, the Italian Red Cross and AICS, the “Raising Awareness of the Risks of Explosive Devices and Promoting Safer Behaviour” programme is being implemented in the Kyiv region. This joint initiative aims to save lives and raise awareness among citizens.

With the support of the Ukrainian Red Cross Humanitarian Access and Protection Department, educational activities are being carried out in 18 regions of Ukraine to promote mine risk education. Cooperation with international partners enables us to reach even more people and provide them with essential knowledge.
