“I managed to turn my hobby into my own business.” – Alisa, a participant in the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme

Alisa was born and raised in Troitske, Luhansk region. Her family has been involved in beekeeping since 2013. When the full-scale war in Ukraine broke out, Alisa and her family were forced to relocate to Vinnytsia. They decided not only to continue the family business but also chose Vinnytsia for several good reasons: their relatives lived there, and the region’s favourable climate ensured good honey harvests. This is how they came up with the idea of establishing The Lozovi Honey Farm to produce honey, honey sticks, and other bee products. Additionally, there are manufacturers of the necessary equipment in the Vinnytsia region, which greatly simplifies the process of organising their work.

Alisa’s desire for personal development led her to take part in the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme, implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with support from the Spanish Red Cross. She became one of the winners and used the grant money to purchase an automatic honey extractor and other essential materials. Today, they delight local residents with natural honey and sweets made with love and inspiration!
