In the Lviv region, the Red Cross Educational and Training Centre has been opened

The Stryi district branch of the Lviv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, located in Zhydachiv, has opened a new educational and training centre – the Red Cross Centre. The centre’s mission is to provide training in first aid, mine risk awareness, psychosocial support, and other vital areas.

To ensure effective training, essential equipment was purchased, including mannequins, dummies, stands, other training materials, and furniture to accommodate more than 30 people at a time. This will enhance the quality of training and make it accessible to a wide range of people.

The project was made possible through the #BraVo (Branch and Volunteer Development Programme) initiative and funding from the French Red Cross.

The official opening of the centre was attended by Ivan Semerak, Head of the Lviv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Yevhen Vdovychenko, Interregional Specialist of the BraVo project, representatives of the Western Interregional Office, and local officials.

According to Stefaniia Savchyn, Head of the Stryi district branch, renovation work is currently underway for the opening of the Ukrainian Red Cross Rehabilitation Centre. This will be an important step in providing assistance to internally displaced persons and people with disabilities. The rehabilitation centre is expected to open soon.
