In the Lviv region, a Youth Residence has been opened

The Youth Residence, initiated by the Yavoriv branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, is located in the village of Nakonechne Pershne within the Yavoriv city territorial community.

The opening of this youth space marks a new stage in the activities of the Yavoriv branch, which is focused on supporting and developing the youth movement in the community. Thanks to the support of donors and local authorities, comfortable conditions have been created, allowing events for more than 20 people to be held simultaneously. The space is equipped with engaging books and games, providing a comfortable environment where young people can spend their time productively and generate new ideas for humanitarian projects.

“When I talk about the Yavoriv branch, I can only express my gratitude, because we have managed to find a symbiosis that allows us to implement projects and continually invest in our future,” summarised Ivan Semerak, Head of the Lviv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, after the opening of the Youth Residence.

The opening ceremony was attended by delegates from the Danish and Austrian Red Crosses, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, representatives from the National Committee and the Western Interregional Office of the Ukrainian Red Cross, as well as the head and staff of the Lviv regional branch, local authorities, and others.

The opening of this new space was made possible through the combined efforts of the community, the Ukrainian Red Cross youth movement, and local authorities. Funding was provided through the BraVo “Branch and Volunteer Development” project and the PSPU programme of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
