Assistance at the Site of the Strike in Sumy
Sumy. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported 68 injuries and 11 deaths following the night-time attack on the city on 17 November. More than 400 people were evacuated from the damaged apartment building.
Volunteers from the Sumy regional emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross were on the scene from the outset. They provided first aid and psychological first aid to the victims, transported the injured to hospitals, and set up a mobile heating unit, where they remained on duty around the clock.
