Goal Achieved: The Story of a “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” Project Participant
“Thanks to the training, I achieved my goal and secured the job I had been dreaming of for many years,” says Olha, a participant in the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” project, implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in partnership with the Spanish Red Cross.
Olha was forced to leave her hometown of Ochakiv and relocate with her family to Mykolaiv, where she had to start from scratch. Before the move, she had worked in retail, but she had always dreamed of becoming an accountant or a specialist in the financial sector. When she heard about the “Reboot” project, Olha applied. As part of the project, she received psychosocial support, completed the “Five Cross-Cutting Skills for Successful Employment” training, and finished the “BAS (Business Accounting Software)” course.
Today, Olha works as an accountant in a field that has always been close to her heart. She is happy in her new job and encourages others to remember that professional development is possible at any age. It is worth noting that the project in the Mykolaiv region is being implemented with the support of the Spanish Red Cross and the Danish Red Cross.
