Mykolaiv: The team’s work at the emergency site following the impact on residential buildings

Last night, Russian drones attacked residential areas in Mykolaiv, causing significant damage. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a private one-storey house was completely destroyed, and an apartment on the fourth floor of a multi-storey building was damaged.

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Mykolaiv region was immediately deployed to both locations. An aid station was set up at one site, while assistance was provided at the other during emergency rescue operations. Volunteers also administered first aid and psychological first aid to those affected.

Following the attack on the city, employees and volunteers from the Mykolaiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross distributed 52 emergency humanitarian aid kits to residents of the affected building. These kits, which included essentials such as ready-to-eat meals, flashlights, and hygiene products, were provided to meet immediate needs.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, five people were killed in the attack, and one woman was injured and hospitalised.
