Forty-five specialists from the Ukrainian Red Cross took part in a training course on disaster management

The second stage of the training for regional disaster management specialists was recently held in Vinnytsia. During the course, participants were introduced to the principles and objectives of the Unified State System of Civil Protection, as well as the strategic goals of the Disaster Management Department.

In addition to the theoretical component, the training included practical exercises and simulations. The programme covered the following topics:

  • ⁠Working with partners;
  • Handling documentation and official correspondence;
  • Negotiation techniques;
  • ⁠Management basics;
  • ⁠SWOT analysis;
  • Risk and threat assessment;
  • Analysis of skills and resources;
  • The functioning of operational headquarters in regional branches;
  • How to draft a contingency plan.

The event was attended by 45 representatives from various regions and units, providing an opportunity to share information, personal experiences, and teamwork strategies.

The training was organised by the Disaster Management Department with the support of the German Red Cross.
