Kharkiv: Assisting Victims at the Site of the Airstrike on a Residential Building
Kharkiv: Once again, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on the city.
The Shevchenkivskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv were struck. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, there was significant damage, and 25 people were injured, including a child.
The Kharkiv regional emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross was involved in mitigating the consequences of the attack. Along with first responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, officers from the National Police of Ukraine, and dog handlers, the volunteers inspected the surrounding areas and conducted door-to-door visits to identify victims, unlock apartment doors, and assist people with evacuation. Volunteers also administered first aid to the injured and transferred them to medics. Volunteers from the psychosocial support unit provided psychological first aid to those affected.
