In Kyiv, the “Youth on the Move” Forum brought together active young leaders, volunteers, and civic activists to work towards building a better future
Among the participants were representatives from organisations such as Let’s Do It Ukraine, the Union of Initiative Youth (SIM), the Ukrainian Student League, the National Youth Council of Ukraine, the Kyiv City Youth Council, SpivDiia, the European Democracy Youth Network (EDYN Ukraine), Ukrainian Students for Freedom, the Ukrainian Youth Foundation, the Borodianka Youth Parliament, the Irpin Youth Parliament, EU NEIGHBORS East, the NGO Scouts of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Union of Young Geographers, the All-Ukrainian NGO European Association of Law Students Ukraine, Docudays.ua, UReport, and many other outstanding organisations that are making a positive impact on the world every day!
What Was Interesting?
Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the activities of the Ukrainian Red Cross and explore initiatives such as Life Skills, YABC, SPRINT, and SexEd.
The interactive sessions not only provided a platform to discuss key challenges but also focused on developing practical solutions to these issues:
- Lack of inclusivity for young people with diverse interests and needs: What actions can help create a more inclusive environment?
- Indifference among young people due to ineffective information dissemination: What communication strategies can help address this?
- How to demonstrate the value of young people’s contributions to civic activities?
- How to strengthen cooperation with other organisations to develop joint initiatives?
- How to optimise the management of youth centres for more efficient use of resources?
Creativity and Teamwork
Throughout the forum, participants worked in groups to develop strategies for addressing current issues. It was a true exchange of ideas, where everyone had the opportunity to express themselves and receive support from their peers. The presentations of these ideas became a powerful platform for implementing creative solutions.
