Mine risk education reaches 4,000 residents across three regions of Ukraine

Despite the challenging security situation in frontline areas, specialists from the Ukrainian Red Cross regional branches continue to educate the public about mine risks.

In October, mine risk educators held over 250 information sessions in the Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions, informing more than 4,000 people about the threats posed by explosive hazards and the rules for safe behaviour.

The experts teach participants to recognise mine warning signs, identify objects that should not be touched, and understand how to report findings to the appropriate authorities. They also explain the principles behind the operation of modern explosive devices.

This knowledge is crucial for everyone. Mine risk educators from the Ukrainian Red Cross continue their efforts to ensure that every resident, regardless of their circumstances, feels more informed and protected.

We stand by those in need!
