A nighttime air strike has destroyed the entrance of a multi-storey residential building in Kharkiv

A team from the Ukrainian Red Cross is working at the scene alongside other rescue services. Six crews of volunteers from the Kharkiv regional emergency response team, together with first responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and a canine unit, are rescuing people from the rubble. The volunteers also conduct door-to-door visits to identify victims, provide first aid, and transfer those affected to ambulance staff while assisting in evacuating residents from the damaged building.

A mobile warming station will be set up at the emergency site to provide essential support to those affected. Here, people can receive psychological first aid, charge their mobile devices, stay warm, and have hot drinks.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a child has died, and at least 35 people have been injured.
