The Ukrainian Red Cross and The Coca-Cola Company continue to provide local communities with mobile boilers
The Coca-Cola Company System and the Ukrainian Red Cross continue to work together to support the people of Ukraine. In addition to the 45 mobile boiler houses provided last year, local communities will receive another 60 during the 2024 heating season.
The Ukrainian Red Cross, in cooperation with state authorities, identified the communities most in need of assistance ahead of the heating season, focusing particularly on those under occupation or located near the frontline. The Ukrainian Red Cross also ensured the procurement and delivery of mobile boiler houses made in Ukraine, including 16 boilers with a capacity of 200 kW, 25 with a capacity of 500 kW, one with a capacity of 800 kW, and 18 with a capacity of 1,000 kW each.
In total, the project to provide Ukrainian local communities with mobile boilers in 2024 encompasses 10 regions, 6 residential sectors, 24 medical facilities, and 30 educational institutions.
Funding for the project, amounting to EUR 5 million, was provided by Coca-Cola HBC Ukraine.
The total capacity of the 105 boiler houses transferred over two years is approximately 600 MW, which enables heating for up to 600,000 square metres of space. These boilers operate on natural gas and can switch to diesel fuel in the event of gas supply interruptions. An important feature is their mobility, allowing for quick relocation and installation in new locations as needed.
