A two-day training session for the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support team took place in the Poltava region

The training spanned two intensive days and was attended by volunteers from the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross branch in the Poltava region. During the training, participants from both city and district branches learned about the concepts of crisis events, various reactions to them, methods for overcoming challenges, referral processes, setting priorities, and, importantly, self-care as a fundamental aspect of supporting others.

The participants also addressed key issues related to the Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy, analysed the structure of the event itself, and practised their knowledge through practical exercises.

Ultimately, the main purpose of volunteering and organising such events is to enhance resilience and support the well-being of our beneficiaries.
