Nearly 878,000 Ukrainians have received psychosocial support services since the beginning of the full-scale invasion

During the 1,000 days of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainians endured significant losses and experienced numerous traumatic events. Mental health care has become one of the most critical needs in the current context. Constant stress, loss, and worry all have a profound impact on people’s mental well-being.

Volunteers and staff of the Ukrainian Red Cross Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Unit work tirelessly to provide support to those affected by the war. They help people overcome difficult moments, restore their psychological balance, and return to normal life despite the horrors they face each day.

Between 24 February 2022 and 31 October 2024, almost 878,000 Ukrainians received psychosocial support services, including more than 530,000 children.

We hope that the assistance we provide not only supports people’s psycho-emotional well-being but also offers Ukrainians the opportunity to recover and build a new, peaceful life. The Ukrainian Red Cross’s mission is to stand by those in need during the most challenging times.

We thank everyone who joins us in our mission. Together, we can help both children and adults restore their faith in themselves and in the future. Every small act of support brings us closer to peace and recovery.
