A Volunteer and Youth Centre has been launched in Dnipro

On the occasion of World Kindness Day, the Centre’s team, alongside the staff and volunteers of the Dnipro Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, organised an educational event for schoolchildren as part of the Branch and Volunteer Development Programme (BraVo).

Volunteers involved in psychosocial support, as well as representatives from the first aid and mine risk teams, took part in the event to introduce the children to the activities of the Ukrainian Red Cross and inform them about the important aspects of their work.

In particular, the event included:

  • at the Mine Risk station: sessions on the rules of behaviour when dealing with explosive ordnance;
  • at the First Aid station: masterclasses on how to provide first aid in various situations;
  • at the Psychosocial Support station: interactive classes in the form of games and creative activities, where schoolchildren can learn how to cope with emotional stress, reduce anxiety, and overcome negative emotions.

The Volunteer and Youth Centre in Dnipro has many exciting events, meetings, and experiences ahead!

The Centre will host a variety of training sessions, during which young people will have the opportunity to relax and socialise, acquire new skills, and join the volunteer movement, continuing to support those in need.
