Assistance to Those Affected in Shostka, Sumy Region
Shostka. According to the head of the Shostka community, one person was killed and eight were injured in the massive attack.
A fire and rescue unit in Shostka was targeted, resulting in injuries to emergency workers. Energy and infrastructure facilities were damaged, along with two schools, a kindergarten, a polyclinic, several medical facilities, and 28 multi-storey residential buildings. More than 52,000 people were left without electricity and water.
Restoration work is ongoing at the sites of destruction. Volunteers from the Shostka branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross have joined the relief efforts. A tent has been set up at the site, and tarpaulins have been distributed to those whose homes were damaged in the attack.
