In the past week, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers conducted psychosocial support activities for various groups in the Kyiv region
In Tetiiv, the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support team has been conducting regular activities aimed at improving the emotional well-being of individuals and fostering communication skills. These sessions teach participants how to care for their mental health during the ongoing war in Ukraine. The stress of staying in shelters, along with shelling and air raids, can cause significant anxiety and distress for both children and adults.
Last week, during creative arts sessions, participants engaged in activities within a safe space, allowing them to relax and learn coping strategies for managing stress. These activities also promote imagination, enhance mood, and encourage teamwork. For children and teenagers, active games were provided, enabling them to channel their energy positively while learning self-care exercises.
