In the Kyiv region, a training course on the maintenance and operation of mobile bath and laundry units was conducted

A training course on the maintenance and operation of mobile bath and laundry units was recently held in the Kyiv region for specialists from the Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regional branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross.

Over the course of two days, 16 specialists learned to operate specialised vehicles under conditions similar to real-life situations. For instance, water from the Dnipro River, used for washing and showering, was first purified using the OASIS-C300 compact mobile water purification system.

After the training, the units were transported to Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. From now on, they will be utilised in emergency response efforts or in areas where infrastructure has been damaged due to hostilities.

The mobile bath and laundry units are specially equipped vehicles designed to provide laundry services and meet the hygiene needs of the population during emergencies. Each unit includes washing and drying machines, showers, a diesel generator, an autonomous air heater, and 2.5 cubic metres of clean water.

The project is implemented with the support of the Austrian Red Cross.
