The Ukrainian Red Cross supported firefighters from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
Recently, the Vyshgorod district branch and the Kyiv emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross assisted the SES of Ukraine and forestry workers in combating fires in various ecosystems. During the extensive fires in the Kyiv region, particularly in the Chornobyl exclusion zone, 300 litres of drinking water, tea, coffee, and respiratory protection were provided to emergency workers. Additionally, an emergency response team from the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross delivered 1,000 litres of bottled water to firefighters from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine who were tackling fires in the Chornobyl exclusion zone.
Furthermore, volunteers from the emergency response team were on duty in the Vyshgorod district to provide first aid to firefighters and participated in extinguishing the remaining fires.
