In Dnipro, the Ukrainian Red Cross team informs people about the prevention of common diseases
Volunteers from the Chechelivka district branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross regularly conduct street outreach events to educate people about:
- basic health care skills;
- symptoms that may indicate the onset of chronic diseases;
- the importance of prevention and regular check-ups with a family doctor;
- factors that cause the development of diseases, etc.
The specialists also measure blood pressure and provide information about the associated risks.
Educating the public on health maintenance and the prevention of common diseases is a key focus of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s sustainable and long-term activities.
