Ukrainian Red Cross specialists visited Türkiye to exchange experience in operating and developing Community Centers

The team studied the Turkish model in detail, including the overall structure of Community Centers, volunteer management, cooperation with local branches and data collection tools used to accurately assess community needs.

Of particular interest was the practical experience of Community Centers operating in earthquake-affected areas and their ability to quickly adapt services in response to migration and large-scale emergencies.

The Ukrainian Red Cross delegation also presented its own successful Community Center model to international colleagues.

This exchange is strategically important for the Ukrainian Red Cross, as the knowledge gained will help improve the coordination of humanitarian services at the local level, strengthen organisational capacity and introduce new approaches to ensuring the sustainable and effective operation of Community Centers in Ukraine in the future.
