The Ukrainian Red Cross responded to an overnight attack in Kyiv

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kyiv region joined the response to the aftermath of an overnight attack in Kyiv’s Podilskyi district.

Volunteers surveyed the area and one of the most heavily damaged entrances of an 18-storey residential building. They checked more than 20 flats, spoke with residents to assess whether they needed assistance, and provided psychological first aid.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, four people were injured in Kyiv as a result of the overnight attack. In the Podilskyi district, a non-residential building was damaged, a fire broke out and part of the roof was destroyed. During a subsequent strike, the blast wave damaged the windows of a nearby residential building.
