Kyiv: The Ukrainian Red Cross responded to the aftermath of the morning attack

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team, alongside first responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, worked at the site of the strike in Kyiv’s Pecherskyi district. Volunteers provided first aid to three injured people and psychological first aid to two people experiencing acute stress reactions. Together with emergency responders, they evacuated one injured person and helped other residents evacuate the damaged building.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a Russian drone strike hit a multi-storey residential building at the level of the ninth and tenth floors, causing a fire and structural damage.

Emergency responders rescued seven people and brought them to safety. According to the Kyiv City State Administration, 17 people have been injured in the capital so far, with eight admitted to city hospitals. One of those hospitalised is a nine-year-old child.

A 14-year-old boy was killed in the attack.
