The Ukrainian Red Cross helps evacuate residents from the Donetsk region
Life in communities near the front line in the Donetsk region remains dangerous. Due to constant shelling, people are forced to leave their homes, often without electricity, water, or reliable communication.
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Donetsk region helps residents of frontline communities evacuate to safer areas. Families are often accompanied by their pets, who are evacuated with them.
In August, the Donetsk emergency response team has already evacuated 295 people. Since the beginning of the year, the team has evacuated 2,203 people.
During evacuations, volunteers accompany people and, when needed, provide first aid and psychosocial support. Upon arrival, evacuees are taken to shelters, wз війну.
