Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units in the Chernihiv region provided primary healthcare to 2,500 patients in July

Six Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units are currently operating across the Chernihiv region with U.S. support. They regularly travel to remote communities to provide healthcare to people who cannot access medical services where they live.

Priority is given to the most remote communities and those most affected by the war, where access to healthcare is limited or unavailable.

During their visits, mobile health unit specialists carry out primary health assessments, measure blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and blood oxygen saturation, and provide free over-the-counter medicines for common health conditions. If a patient requires urgent medical care, the team arranges transportation to a healthcare facility.

Among those receiving support are internally displaced people who have sought refuge in the region because of the war, people with disabilities, older people, children, and people with limited mobility.

Each visit by a mobile health unit is not only an opportunity to provide medical care but also a chance to help protect the health of those who need it most.
