The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Zaporizhzhia region worked at the site of the overnight attack alongside all emergency services in the city. Volunteers conducted door-to-door checks and inspected the area surrounding damaged buildings to identify people in need of assistance. First aid was provided to seven injured people, while around 30 people experiencing acute stress reactions received psychological first aid.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, one person was killed, and seven others were injured as a result of a massive Russian drone attack on the city overnight. Residential buildings, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure were damaged in several districts of Zaporizhzhia. The attack also caused a fire in a three-storey residential building covering an area of 800 square metres. Due to the threat of repeated attacks, firefighters were only able to fully extinguish the fire by early morning.
