Kharkiv: The Ukrainian Red Cross assists people affected by another wave of attacks on the city
Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams in the Kharkiv region were deployed to all sites affected by the attacks. Volunteers assessed damaged buildings and residential properties, identified people in need, provided first aid to those injured, and delivered psychological first aid to individuals experiencing acute stress reactions.
From the morning onwards, assistance points were operating at the affected locations, where people could receive drinking water, hot beverages, snacks, and psychosocial support. Humanitarian assistance was also distributed, including hygiene kits, drinking water, transit kits, children’s bedding sets, and blankets.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 10 people were injured as a result of Russian strikes on the Nemyshlianskyi and Industrialnyi districts of the city. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged.
