Finnish entrepreneur Leo Winter has donated nearly €64,000 to the Ukrainian Red Cross

The funds came from the sale of a limited-edition watch collection made from the metal of destroyed Russian tanks. His company, The Rebuild Watch Company, is now working on a new limited collection to continue supporting people affected by the war in Ukraine.

The story began in February 2022. Leo Winter wanted “to build something good out of something bad.” This idea led to the launch of the Rebuild Watch startup and the Ctrl-Z watch collection.
Ctrl-Z is the well-known keyboard shortcut for undoing the last action. For Leo Winter, it symbolises the desire to “undo the war.”

The name is also an ironic reference to the letter Z, which Russia uses as a symbol of its invasion.

The watch cases were made from the metal of a Russian T-90 tank destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.

The craftsman created 55 watches, priced at €7,500 each. Part of the proceeds from the sales was donated by The Rebuild Watch Company to the Ukrainian Red Cross, amounting to nearly €64,000.

Leo Winter has already opened pre-orders for a new series called Ctrl-SHIFT-Z. As with the previous collection, part of the profits will be donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross to support people affected by the war.

Every contribution, regardless of its size, strengthens the humanitarian work of the Ukrainian Red Cross and brings hope to people in need. Join the effort and support charitable initiatives via the link:  https://redcross.org.ua/en/donate/
