The Ukrainian Red Cross strengthens cooperation with Slovenia and Slovakia

Illya Kletskovskyy, Deputy Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross, paid a working visit to the Slovenian Red Cross and the Slovak Red Cross to strengthen partnerships and exchange experience in humanitarian response.

In Slovenia, meetings were held with the leadership of the Slovenian Red Cross and representatives of migration and restoring family links programmes. The parties discussed approaches to supporting people and practical aspects of working with vulnerable groups.

Particular attention was given to cooperation with international partners and state institutions. During meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia and ITF Enhancing Human Security, discussions focused on developing humanitarian cooperation, coordinating assistance, and supporting Ukraine during the full-scale war.

In Slovakia, the Deputy Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross held a working meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, as well as the leadership of the Slovak Red Cross. The main topics included support for Ukrainians affected by the war, participation in joint humanitarian initiatives, and opportunities to expand cooperation.

Such visits are an important part of strengthening international partnerships, helping to respond more effectively to humanitarian challenges and enhance support for those who need it most.
