Enhancing fire safety in communities through volunteer fire brigade training

Recently, a large-scale training programme for volunteer fire brigades — specialised units that strengthen community safety — was concluded in Kamianets-Podilskyi. In 2025, 112 volunteers from communities across the Khmelnytskyi region completed the training. The programme lasted 110 hours and combined remote theoretical lessons with practical exercises at fire and rescue units.

The training was organised by the Ukrainian Red Cross, with support from the British Red Cross and partners, in cooperation with the Lviv State University of Life Safety and civil protection authorities.
