Kharkiv: Ukrainian Red Cross Provides Aid to Those Affected by Attack

Yesterday, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Kharkiv region was active at all impact sites across the city. Volunteers conducted inspections of surrounding areas and damaged buildings, carried out door-to-door visits to identify those affected, provided first aid to the injured, and offered psychological support to those in need.

Ukrainian Red Cross assistance points were also set up on-site, where people could charge their mobile phones, receive water or hot drinks, and have a snack. Based on the needs identified, the Kharkiv regional team distributed humanitarian assistance, including OSB boards for temporary repairs, drinking water, transit food, hygiene kits (including for children), and other essential items.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Kharkiv was again targeted by Russian drones yesterday. At least five people were injured. A residential apartment building in the Kyivskyi district was damaged, vehicles and a bus near a public transport stop were hit, and fires broke out in open areas, which rescue teams promptly extinguished.
