Zhytomyr Region: Response Efforts at the Site of the Attack

In Korosten, an emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Zhytomyr region is working at the site of the attack response. Volunteers are supporting emergency services in search and rescue operations, providing first aid and psychological first aid.

A support point run by the Ukrainian Red Cross is operating on site, where those affected can access essential assistance, as well as charge their mobile phones and have tea or water.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Russian forces carried out a combined missile and drone strike on Korosten, Zhytomyr region. One person has been killed and more than 10 people injured. Dozens of homes have been damaged or destroyed, and rescue operations are ongoing.
