The Ukrainian Red Cross Community Center operates in Zaporizhzhia

The Ukrainian Red Cross Community Center in Zaporizhzhia is a safe, inclusive and accessible space providing social support to people in need and strengthening the local community through educational and awareness-raising activities. The Center operates on a one-stop-shop principle, bringing together a range of services under one roof so that people can access assistance promptly and efficiently.

Services available at the Center include:

  • Social consultations to help address everyday issues and provide information about services and resources available within the community.
  • Psychological assistance and psychosocial support, aimed at strengthening mental health and helping individuals cope with stress, particularly those affected by crisis events.
  • First aid training and mine risk awareness sessions, delivered to various population groups to enhance safety, preparedness and awareness.

A dedicated youth space has been established, offering activities, educational programmes and group meetings that promote personal development and social interaction.

In addition, specialists from mobile rehabilitation units operate at the Center, and a rehabilitation space is available to support people in regaining mobility, improving functional ability, and enhancing emotional well-being following illness, injury, trauma or the impact of war.
