Strengthening Youth and Volunteer Partnerships: Ukrainian Red Cross in Berlin
Wherever they are, Ukrainian youth remain part of Ukraine.
That is why it is so important for the Ukrainian Red Cross to stay connected with young Ukrainians abroad, inspire them to take action, and bring them together around shared values and volunteering.
Maksym Koval, Chair of the National Commission on Volunteer and Youth Development of the Ukrainian Red Cross, is on a working visit to Berlin with a delegation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
During the visit, the delegation took part in the international forum Café Kyiv 2026 — a large-scale event in support of Ukraine. The forum brought together political leaders, civil society organisations, experts, international partners, and Ukrainian youth around a shared goal: strengthening support for Ukraine and ensuring its voice is heard globally. The visit is focused on building and reinforcing these connections.
It is about young people who, even thousands of kilometres away, remain an active part of Ukrainian society. About fostering partnerships and strengthening the volunteering movement as a key part of collaboration between the state and Ukrainians living abroad.
Young Ukrainians abroad are a resource, a source of experience, and a voice of Ukraine in the world. We are working to make that voice even stronger.
