The Ukrainian Red Cross provided assistance at attack sites in Zaporizhzhia
Yesterday, the emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Zaporizhzhia region, working alongside other emergency services, provided assistance at sites affected by the recent attack on the city. Volunteers administered first aid to five injured people and provided psychological first aid to those experiencing acute stress.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that eight people, including three children, were injured in the Russian UAV attack. An 18-year-old young man and an 18-year-old young woman were killed.
Later, volunteers returned to the strike site, where they provided first aid to one man, who was subsequently hospitalised. Others affected also received psychological first aid.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the blast wave from a strike on an open area damaged the fronts of three entrances of a nearby five-storey residential building. One man sustained injuries.
