The Ukrainian Red Cross Continues to Expand Child-Friendly Spaces in Communities Across Zakarpattia

These are safe spaces where children can feel secure, restore their emotional well-being, socialise, and take part in beneficial activities under the guidance of trained specialists. The Zakarpattia regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross has provided equipment kits to set up new spaces in:

  • The public library of the Perechyn City Council
  • The public library of the Tur’y Remety Village Council

Such locations help reduce stress, support children’s development, creativity, and socialisation, and provide opportunities to hold activities offering psychosocial support.

The expansion of these spaces is being carried out with the support of the Danish Red Cross.
