Nadiia and her beloved cat Darcy relocated from Sloviansk in 2022, as the city has been under constant shelling.

They are now living in Kyiv, where they receive assistance from the Ukrainian Red Cross through the National Pet Care Program, implemented with support from Humane World for Animals. The support includes pet food and anti-parasitic treatments for Darcy.

However, Nadiia’s greatest wish is to have a pet carrier for Darcy, as she hopes one day to return home — to her native Sloviansk.
