In Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region, the Ukrainian Red Cross held its first event for families of missing persons and prisoners of war

The Restoring Family Links team and the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support programme of the Ukrainian Red Cross held their first session in Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region. The participants were local residents — families who have lost contact with their loved ones.

These types of meetings are organised to support families who need to feel that they are not alone in their pain and experiences. Conversations, care, mutual support, and the opportunity to share personal stories with others who understand often become a crucial step toward healing, emotional recovery, and connection.
