Mine Risk Information Session Held for Journalists from Suspilne Odesa TV

Mines and unexploded ordnance will continue to pose a threat to civilians in Ukraine for many years to come. Accidents often happen simply due to a lack of awareness about how to act when encountering such hazards.

Journalists are often among the first to arrive at the scene of attacks or shelling, making it especially important that they understand the correct safety procedures. This was the focus of a recent information session for Suspilne Odesa journalists, organised by specialists from the Ukrainian Red Cross in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross.

During the session, participants learned about:

  • Safety rules during attacks and shelling
  • How to identify dangerous areas
  • Common types of mines and booby traps

We continue to share this life-saving knowledge across Ukraine.
