Ukrainian Red Cross Response Following the Attack in the Poltava Region
The emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Poltava region, together with volunteers from the Poltava regional branch, provided assistance to residents of Poltava affected by the overnight attack.
Volunteers set up a relief point offering hot tea and coffee, which was used by around 150 people, and also provided psychological support to local residents.
In addition, 30 households received building materials for the temporary repair of damaged homes — including OSB boards, tarpaulin, and plastic sheeting.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, a Russian UAV struck a residential building in the Poltava district last night. A fire broke out in a flat on the third floor and on the roof of the building. Fortunately, no one was in the apartment at the time, and most residents were able to reach a shelter in time. There are no reports of casualties or injuries.
The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to provide support where it is needed most.
