The REDpreneur Ukraine Training Academy has concluded its second cohort of participants developing social enterprises at the branch level of the Ukrainian Red Cross
In August, the final presentations of social entrepreneurship business ideas took place, marking the culmination of the second cohort of the REDpreneur Ukraine programme component — “Branch-Level Social Entrepreneurship at the Ukrainian Red Cross”. The initiative is being implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross, with support from the French Red Cross and the Austrian Red Cross.
Twenty-five teams from local Ukrainian Red Cross branches participated in the Training Academy. Over the course of 12 weeks, the participants developed their own business projects — transforming initial ideas into fully fledged business plans with strong social impact.
The final stage of the programme showcased the innovation and creativity behind the participants’ solutions. They impressed with their depth of analysis, clear understanding of community needs, and strong commitment to building sustainable social businesses — efforts that will, in turn, contribute to the financial resilience of local Ukrainian Red Cross branches.
Following the selection process, 16 teams were invited to advance to the next stage — the REDpreneur Ukraine Master Class.
There, they will engage in intensive mentoring, receive expert guidance, and have the opportunity to attract funding for the development of social initiatives that are set to become valuable sources of support for their communities.
We extend our congratulations to all the participants from the Ukrainian Red Cross branches and wish them continued success. Their work marks a significant step forward in the growth of social entrepreneurship in Ukraine and the long-term sustainability of local branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
