The Ukrainian Red Cross participated in the All-Ukrainian Congress on Physical Therapy 2025
On 12–13 September, Lviv hosted the All-Ukrainian Congress on Physical Therapy 2025 — a major event that brought together Ukrainian and international experts to discuss the development of rehabilitation systems during wartime and in the post-war period. The Ukrainian Red Cross partnered with the Congress and contributed to the programme by sharing its own experience and best practices in the field of rehabilitation.
The physical and mental rehabilitation team took part in a panel discussion on recovery as a life-long process, and the vital role of community-based rehabilitation throughout. They also joined a discussion on creative solutions for physical therapy at home, offering practical approaches to supporting patients in their everyday lives.
The Congress brought together several hundred specialists who discussed innovative methods in physical therapy, the challenges of rehabilitation following combat injuries, training and professional development, and new approaches to patient support. The event was organised by the All-Ukrainian Association of Physical Therapists in cooperation with the War Trauma Rehabilitation initiative, which is being implemented by the Patients of Ukraine Charitable Foundation.
The Ukrainian Red Cross will continue to foster partnerships and improve community-based rehabilitation services, ensuring that more people have access to high-quality support and recovery.
