Safety Training for the Ukrainian Red Cross was held in Ternopil
A training session on “Safety in Humanitarian Action” was organised for volunteers and staff of the Ternopil regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
Safety is a top priority for the Ukrainian Red Cross, which is why we place special emphasis on this issue for our staff and volunteers while carrying out their duties. During the training, participants covered the following topics:
- Raising awareness and fostering a culture of safety within the organisation
- Key safety principles and their practical application
- Procedures to follow in the event of safety-related incidents
- Identifying and responding to potential threats
- Assessing and managing safety risks
- Planning safe travel and field operations
The knowledge gained will help participants better ensure their own safety as well as the safety of those they assist amid ongoing threats.
The training was organised by the Risk Management Department of the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine.
