Strengthening Cooperation for Safety: Monitoring Visit to Poltava Region

As part of a working visit, the Head of the Humanitarian Access and Protection Department of the Ukrainian Red Cross, together with the Head of the Poltava regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, carried out a monitoring visit across the region. The main aim was to strengthen cross-sector cooperation in mine action and to further develop the educational component in the area.

The visit included a series of working meetings, notably with representatives of the Poltava City Council. Discussions focused on the challenges facing the local community and ways to enhance public awareness of mine-related risks through effective collaboration.

A key part of the visit was a meeting with representatives of the Poltava State Agrarian University, where future agricultural specialists are trained. To help prepare students for potential risks, the university received a set of educational 3D displays featuring replica explosive remnants of war. These materials will be used during themed lessons, training sessions, and awareness-raising activities on mine safety.

Mine action is about life, safety, and knowledge.
