The Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units continue their work to support residents of the Chernivtsi region

The mobile health units visit remote communities in the region, providing primary healthcare to those without regular access to medical facilities and pharmacies.

The specialists offer the following services to all residents, from children to the elderly:

  • Conduct general health check-ups
  • Provide primary consultations
  • Measure blood pressure, blood glucose, and oxygen levels
  • Refer individuals to specialised medical professionals
  • Provide over-the-counter medicines for general therapeutic use, if necessary
  • In case of a life-threatening condition, call an ambulance and stay with the person until it arrives

These activities in the Chernivtsi region are supported by the Austrian Red Cross. The goal of the mobile units is to temporarily reinforce state medical facilities in providing assistance where it is most needed.
