In Ivano-Frankivsk, a five-day training of trainers for community-based psychosocial support took place

From 10 to 14 March, the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support team of the Ukrainian Red Cross, with the support of the European Commission under the #EU4Health programme, conducted intensive training for future community-based psychosocial support trainers.

The training aimed not only to increase the number of qualified trainers but also to update the methodology for providing psychosocial support. Participants enhanced their facilitation skills and ability to work with an adult audience and deepened their knowledge of community support.

As a result of the training, 18 regional branches and the city of Kyiv have gained new trainers who will then train volunteers and staff in mental health and psychosocial support.

Psychosocial support strengthens communities by helping them overcome challenges, bring people together, and adapt, making the training of trainers in this area essential.
